Glenys has a PhD in Public Policy Analysis, which she thinks of as a PhD in getting from A to Z: taking a thorny problem, figuring out what needs to be known and who needs to be involved, and designing the process for getting from where things are to where they need to be.
Her career has combined executive leadership, policy and decision analysis, and the design and direction of high-stakes international projects. She has built and led organizations and multidisciplinary teams, advised senior corporate and government decision-makers, and designed research and evaluation systems to inform difficult decisions and adjust course along the way.

FIELD RESEARCH IN CONFLICT ZONES
- Conducted field research in Somalia, Sri Lanka, South Sudan, Liberia and the DR Congo, including in remote, rebel-held villages.
- Interviewees ranged from heads of state and senior UN officials to opposing sides in armed conflicts, tribal chiefs and former child soldiers.
